Describe your job role in a couple of sentences

In a nutshell, my role is to support the day-to-day operations for the transformation team. They are a fast-paced and results-driven team, so it certainly keeps me on my toes. In addition to this, I also work closely with the wider BIE team to organise targeted BIE networking events for our community of candidates and clients.

What’s your greatest source of job satisfaction?

I really love to learn. Learning more about recruitment and the people I work with every day really makes me tick.

What is the secret to your career success and what have you learnt along the way?

Working hard and taking time to learn new skills is really important. I also think keeping a positive attitude and investing time in exercise and enjoying life outside of work helps performance in the office.

What are your career highlights or ‘defining moments’, and what professional achievements are you most proud of?

Prior to joining BIE, I was Personal Assistant to the CEO at JI Catering, who hold the hospitality contracts for Haas and Ferrari Formula 1 teams, so I spent my time traveling with the teams and was fortunate enough to see the world.

How important is the role of operations both in business generally and more specifically, at BIE?

Operations is the glue that holds the teams together and enables them to focus on delivering excellent client service and candidate care. The whole operations team supports each other and works hard to stay organised so our respective teams of consultants can focus on what they do best.

Strong organisation and communication skills are key.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?

In a world where you can be anything, be kind.

What are you most passionate about at work?

I am passionate about being prompt with tasks and helping my team as quickly as possible to get things completed .. and fire rockets!

How would you describe the culture at BIE?

The culture is like family, everyone looks out for each other, works hard and delivers excellent results. BIE also gave me the opportunity to move remotely to Dubai for 2 years as my partner had a job offer. They were very supportive and helped me make it work.

Describe your onboarding experience at BIE.

The onboarding was brilliant – Lisa does an amazing job! Although it was virtual, due to the pandemic, I was given a detailed PowerPoint of information ahead of all my meetings and the information was all really helpful and relevant – I also felt like I was given the correct amount of work early on.

Name one interesting fact about yourself.

I lived in LA for 6 years.

If given a chance, who would you be for a day?

My dog, Bear.
