BIE is delighted to be supporting Black Inclusion Week, an annual campaign to maintain momentum in black inclusion awareness and the journey towards an anti-racist society. The initiative, started by Black Leaders, is an opportunity for all across the UK to celebrate Black people and to remember the importance of building a fair and just society through the inclusion of everyone. The theme this year is “Be the Change you want to see”.

As well as a celebration of Black people within the UK, the campaign encourages a commitment towards change, connects organisations and individuals through collaboration, and aims to make us stronger as one community. It creates a platform for change to enable true equality for people of African and Caribbean descent.
As part of the campaign, Black Leaders will be hosting and facilitating a series of digital events, from the 10-16 May. Topics include: Black Leadership and Empowerment, Black Leaders in HR and Black Business Ownership – Successfully Overcoming the Challenges. In addition to these discussions, they have provided a series of online resources, including logos, toolkits, and email footers for those organisations and individuals who want to support.

At BIE, we know investing in diversity and inclusion helps us perform better as a business and connects us closer to our clients. We recognise that there is more work for us to do, but we are committed to questioning, listening and continuing to take action and drive change - Black Inclusion Week gives us all an opportunity to do just this.
