Our Purpose & Values

Guiding clients through transformation and delivering brilliant results through our network

Business is personal.

Especially when the stakes are high. Organisations succeed or fail on the strength of trust between leaders, teams, investors, and partners.

At BIE, this principle shapes how we work. We build long-term relationships with the people responsible for delivering change, enabling honest challenge, sound judgement, and decisive action.

We focus on what matters the most:

Partnerships that deliver results.

For organisations, their people, and their future.

Because the more powerful the partnership the greater the potential.

Our values

Our core values shape how we build relationships, make decisions, and deliver results; especially in complex, high-stakes environments.

Collaboration

Significant challenges are rarely solved in isolation. We work as one team with our clients and across our own organisation, combining expertise, insight, and relationships to deliver coordinated, effective outcomes.

Excellence

We hold ourselves to the highest standards of judgement, professionalism, and delivery. Excellence for us means not just quality of work, but measurable impact, ensuring our contribution stands up to scrutiny and delivers lasting results.

Our commitment to social mobility

At BIE we are committed to creating a voice that raises the profile of social mobility as a key consideration within the executive search market. Our belief is that social mobility drives diverse hiring and helps our clients create more inclusive teams.

While delivering visibly diverse shortlists goes some way to changing the agenda, partnering with our clients, we prefer to challenge and encourage the consideration of talent from wider socioeconomic backgrounds.

Doing this increases equal opportunity for all and creates leadership teams with diversity of thought that drive results and innovation.

The results are there for all to see:

  • A BCG study found that companies with more diverse management teams have 19% higher revenues due to innovation.
  • Providing opportunities for individuals from lower socio-economic groups gives companies access to a larger pool of potential talent – 39% of the UK workforce aged 16-plus are working class, according to Social Mobility Commission data.

Ensuring our consulting teams are educated and able to consult with clients on how social mobility can drive diversity, inclusion and business results is a core part of our internal training and education.

BIE names Drive Forward Foundation and The Aldridge Foundation “Charity Partners” for the next three years

As part of our social mobility agenda at BIE, we are committed to enhancing opportunities for young people from underprivileged backgrounds by providing them with access to the essential skills necessary to succeed in their careers.

We admire the work of both Drive Forward Foundation and The Aldridge Foundation and are incredibly pleased to announce our three-year partnership with both organisations. They both share the belief that meaningful support and sustainable careers offer the best hope for young people to master the challenges in front of them and build positive futures for themselves.

Throughout our partnership, we will be hosting a range of skills workshops, mentoring sessions and fundraising events which aim to equip young people with the key skills needed to enter the workplace and thrive throughout their careers.

If you would like to donate to this cause please use our fundraising page here.  All donations will be split equally between Drive Forward Foundation and The Aldridge Foundation.
