James is a member of the executive leadership team and co-leads the Technology and Transformation Practice for BIE. Acting as a client side adviser for companies going through transformation, James works with his clients to build blended teams of experienced programme professionals mixed with existing internal capability. This allows companies to embed change ensuring a legacy is left, and gives them more control and input over the final outcome.

He has a proven track record of delivering solutions for FTSE 100 and 250 companies in varying sectors including FMCG, retail, utilities, logistics, transport and manufacturing.

His main focus is on back office consolidation (cost out) transformation programmes with a technological solution (ERP and CRM), as well as assisting with the initiation phase (business case and TOM) and delivery. Projects include:

Post-Acquisition Integration
ERP and System Implementations
Shared Service Centres (IT, Finance, HR, Procurement)
Offshoring, Outsourcing, Insourcing
Global Standardisation of Processes

James began his recruitment career at Michael Page before initially joining BIE in May 2014.

Also known as ‘Jimbo’ to his collegues, James grew up in Scotland before venturing south to Study sports science at Loughborough. When not at work, James enjoys keeping fit, playing sports and spending time with his young family. James is a season ticket holder at Murrayfield and is still waiting for the day Scotland wins the Six Nations!
